Don’t you think the gaura is just the perfect plant to be around the fountain and boxwood hedge!? I think so, and I didn’t even plant it! The previous owners did, and I distinctly remember walking through their garden (years before we bought the house) and thinking how beautiful and striking it was. It was the first time I actually admired gaura, before it just seemed a little scraggly and messy. Not when it’s planted like this! It’s all about contrast of texture here. Since moving in, we’ve had to remove some things in this garden (mostly due to age and/or disease), but there are also lots of beautiful things that I hope live forever. 💗⛲️🌿
