Sometimes we’ve got it, sometimes we don’t.
This post is about making sure you’ve got it!
We can all get carried away with the perfectionism of social media. The routine it subconsciously provides for you to always eat right, work out often, and to double cleanse your face before bed. I, like many of you, strive to live by this routine. Not only because it’s healthy for me, but because it makes me feel good.
Lately, I’ve been finding myself stressing to get home in time for that 30 min work out, or cutting plans short because tonight’s the night I NEED to do my 12 step skin care routine. Almost because I’m afraid that if I don’t, someone will call my bluff.
Don’t beat yourself up because every day isn’t perfect. And don’t for a second think that I don’t have a few nights a month where I skip that weekly face mask, push aside the kale smoothie, order take out, and just BE.
Having a healthy balance helps you lead a happy and contented life. It’s imperative to your growth as an individual to secure your mental peace and well being.
If you don’t have the perfect skin care routine, or you just can’t find the time for that weekly mask - find your balance. Skip something that’s taking away from YOU in order to better YOU.
And for those who are beating themselves up every day to get things perfect - remember the one thing that makes you insanely happy and relaxed, even if it doesn’t fit the “mold”, and do it!
