What do you like to accessorize your high puff with? Braids? Hair jewels?

Braid takedown ❣️ I can’t lie, I was lovinggggg not having to do my hair for a while but it was time to let the braids go.
To take them down I cut the braids, making sure I don’t cut my real hair!
I split the braids into four sections, similar to when I split my hair when I wash it, and gently unraveled the braids in that section.
Once each section was done I gave myself a lil scratch and massage which felt soooo gooood after not being able to get to my scalp for weeks lol. Then I gently finger detangle the section before clipping it up out the way.
Once all sections were done I hopped in the shower to shampoo and deep condition. Usually I shampoo my hair all in one, but after braids I shampood in the four sections to make sure my scalp was completely clean and to avoid tangling my hair even more. I then deep conditioned and completely detangled, first with my fingers, then with a comb.
A LOT of hair came out. When I was finger detangling and combing it literally felt like all my hair was coming out my head with the amount that was in my hands lol. But that’s normal after having a protective style. Your hair sheds a lot of hairs everyday so when it’s locked away in a style it just builds up and looks like loads when it all comes out together.
It took an hour to take out the braids and about 40 mins to wash and detangle.
The hair at the end of the video is all the shed hair that came out when I was in the shower. Kinda gross but I know some of you would be interested lol.
I then went on to style into a top knot bun which I’m rocking now. More style videos to come soon 💖. Let me know if you have any questions.
